Aiyaary was originally scheduled to be released on 25 January, 2018 but this was moved in order to avoid clash with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat. The film was then scheduled to be released worldwide on 9 February, 2018. But now the release date is further postponed to 16 February, 2018.

(09) Aiyaary Story:
Aiyaary is based on The Adarsh Society Scam, a real life story set on the backgrounds of Indian Army. The Film is revolves around the relationship of a Mentor [Manoj Bajpayee] and Protege [Sidharth Malhotra].
Aiyaary's story revolves around a teacher named Colonel Abhay Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) and his protégé Major Jai Bakshi (Sidharth Malhotra). They are a part of the covert Data and System Diagnostic team in the Indian Army. Due to corruption and manipulation, Jai Bakshi decided to disappear and fix the system, because of which Abhay Singh and he became enemies and the cat-mouse race began. In the end, the Adarsh Housing Society scam in Mumbai is what is highlighted.
